Back at the Loudoun County Public Library: Manga Warriors & Dinosaurs on Summer Vacation!

I’ve been spending a lot of time lately at the Loudoun County Public Library for my Warrior Manga Sketching workshops, and the turnout has been awesome. It’s always great to see a room full of people—from total beginners to experienced artists—building characters from the ground up.

We just wrapped up a great session at Rust Library, and I’ll have a few more LCPL workshops lined up for May and June. We'll be finishing up our warrior manga series and then shifting gears into some fun, prehistoric character design for the summer!

Here’s what is coming up next:

Manga Sketching Class

  • Monday, May 18 (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM) | Brambleton Library (Meeting Room A)

  • What we're doing: We'll break down how to draw a manga-style warrior step-by-step using my favorite layering process.

How to Draw a Dinosaur

  • Saturday, June 20 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) | Cascades Library (Meeting Room A)

  • Monday, June 29 (7:00 PM - 8:00 PM) | Ashburn Library (Meeting Room A + B)

  • What we're doing: Shifting gears for the summer! We'll create a drawing of a dinosaur on summer vacation with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions.

All workshops are open to middle schoolers, high schoolers, and adults. You can find the full schedule: https://loudoun.libnet.info/events?d=2026-04-01&term=orion+zangara&r=range&start=2026-03-18&end=2026-06-29

Hope to see you there!! :)
