Here is a piece of interior artwork I drew for the horror anthology Silent Nightmares, coming out through Saga Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
For this piece, I got to illustrate "Father Christmas" by Brian Evenson. It is a really unsettling story about a son who returns to say goodbye to his dying, abusive father, only to be pursued by a supernatural entity claiming to be him on Christmas Eve.
It was a blast getting to visually interpret such a dark, heavy concept for the collection.

Here is a look at another piece of interior artwork I drew for the horror anthology Silent Nightmares, published by Saga Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
For this piece, I got to illustrate "Lost Hearts" by Cynthia Pelayo. Cynthia is an incredible writer, and her essay "My Mother Was Margaret White" (from the book Why I Love Horror) is one of the most meaningful pieces I've ever read.
I ended up illustrating every story in this collection, and it’s been surreal getting to work on a book edited by Chuck Palahniuk and Michael Bailey.

Here is a look at another piece of interior artwork I drew for the horror anthology Silent Nightmares, published by Saga Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
For this piece, I got to illustrate "We Have Always Been Red" by Annie Neugebauer. Annie is such a great writer and I look forward to reading all her books. It is a really unsettling story about a desperate survivor in a plague-ridden winter who seeks out a rumored forest doctor, only to realize the "doctor" is Death incarnate.
It was really fun to draw the plague mask and all the birds for this one. I hope I made it look visually interesting while honoring Annie's story.
